baby... it's cold outside

There are beautiful white snow flakes falling from the sky at this very moment, so much in fact that when we came out to the car after dinner the car was covered. Mr. B made me practice since my Texan self isn't used to this foreign stuff called snow. :o) Kinda scary, I don't like the skidding sensation but I think if I drive 30 I'll be fine. Either way the Lord is with me and has angels on all four wheels!!

Things are going semi well - my job is improving - some staff challenges but I'm confident that we will over come these difficulties. The kids are making progress and that makes my heart happy. Every day is a challenge to get up and go but I'm confident that it will turn out alright. It's got great potential.

Thanksgiving came and went. My family came up from Texas and we enjoyed their company. Helped make a turkey/ham and all the trimmings {mom did most of the work, but I totally helped!!} It was nice, mom and I got to go get our nails done & have girls time which was nice. I miss having them near so very much.

Now we are well into December, we have friends coming up on the 19th & staying for a few days and then Mr. B's side of the family is coming to spend Christmas with us in Kansas. They will be here the 22nd through the 28th - I pray it's enjoyable for all. I'm planning on doing another turkey and dressing {solo!!} for this one, hopefully everything will come out just dandy!!!

I head to TEXAS on the 26th!! I'm pumped to see the rest of the family!! I talked to Aunt Susie tonight and told her that I was channeling my inner aunt Susie when talking to a staff member today! It was very funny, I pray I'm half the woman my mother & her sisters are, and a quarter of the amazing woman my mamaw is!! I love to talk and hear their voices, but am excited beyond belief to hug and spend face time with them!!!

We've been attending a church here called Grace church, it's a ways south of our apartment - very scriptually based which is lovely - we haven't had time to check out any of the classes or anything but so far we've been pleased. At least they aren't playing south park clips during the service. bleh. {whole other story there!}

I have been doing more crocheting lately due to my machine being ill, I'll be taking it to the sewing machine dr. here soon. I hope I can get my xmas gifts done in enough time!! eek! Wish I could find what I needed online - I'm obsessed with Etsy!! Maybe I'll find good stuff there!! woohoo.

Mr. B is busy with basketball - they've done pretty well so far this season 4 - 2 which is great since last season they only won 7 games total!! They just needed my honey to come on staff and help shape it up! :o) The season is passing quickly - I can't believe it's December already - where has time gone.
