Happy Times.

It has been a great couple of weeks. After saying my joyful goodbyes to KCK - I enjoyed a day of packing and relaxing. Mr. B completely surprised me by taking me down to the power and light district to see BRAD PAISLEY in CONCERT! I did not see it coming and it was an awesome concert!! I am one blessed chick! Here is us with our tickets waiting for it to start - if I had known where we were going I would have dressed up a little more! lol.

Brad was sooo amazing!! We had a blast! Amazing concert!!

We finally got home around midnight then proceded to pack and get stuff ready for our 6 am wake up call to head south to the Great state of Texas!! We made quick work of our drive - ended up in the stock yards in Ft. Worth to eat at Joe T's for dinner with the Golls. It was very tasty and it was amazing to visit with friends.
Monday we drove in to Palestine for Dad's surprise 50th birthday party - which he thought was for Mr. B & I. It was such an sucess and oh so much fun. I miss family get togethers - the noise, the smells, the laughter and the gossip. :o) Oh how I miss being close to family and friends. Erin brought the babies over and Mr. Braydo is fearless, he and I were jumping in the deep end. it was hilarious.

Mamaw made me mashed potatoes for my birthday lunch and then we went out to El Torro with everyone... my poor step mom ended up getting sick and they had to leave. I will say the best birthday present was getting to meet my sweet sweet nephew Memphis. He is the sweetest baby ever - I am completely smitten with him.
Isn't he adorable.

The rest of the week was spent visiting with family and stocking up on all the things I've missed and love. I got a couple of my Circle E candles {bird of paradise!}, Mom got me an amazing Elignberger cake for my birthday {NEMO!!} and I hit everyone of my favorite resturants. I also got three really great shirts and a pair of Yellowbox flip flops. Oh and we bought a camera from Marla! I'm pumped to get it when I go back in July.

It was sad to leave and make that long drive back to Kansas city. Mr. B & I are confident that the Lord has plans for us even when we can't see or understand them. We miss Texas - we miss family and friends. We continue to pray and trust that God will bring us home eventually. Happy thoughts.

Later this week I'll begin the job hunt. woohoo. I think I'll go and enjoy my free time and finish a couple of projects I've got in the works. Hope you have a blessed day.
