Christmas went well, Mr. B's parents came in from Ohio - meet us in St. Louis to watch a game and then came back with us and will be heading back to St. Louis tomorrow to see another game on Monday & then goodbyes will be said and everyone will head back to their homes. I *fingers crossed* will make my second attempt to get to Texas to see the family on Sunday. It's been 4 months since I've seen my Mamaw and 4 months is just to long. Not to mention everyone else that I'm missing! I had a whole week planned and my flights getting canceled ruined that. lol.
It's been snowing for three days. When I look out my patio window all I see is a winter wonderland. It's amazing. I've never lived anywhere where you get this kind of snowy stuff. This is us at 12:30 am on christmas morning - playing in the snow - celebrating our "First" Christmas together! Beautiful.
After opening presents, and eating Mr. B's lovely dutch pancakes we enjoyed each others company and played games. I successfully made Turkey, Dressing, Pumpkin pie & home made mac & cheese - while Mama B took care of the Green bean casserole & chocolate cake. It was a team effort all around & everyone seemed to enjoy it greatly. We are very blessed to be able to spend holidays with family & have the comforts that we do.
Blending families & traditions is an interesting process. Praise God for a loving husband who's sensitive to my heart. I pray everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
Praise the Lord & rejoice in all that he does. Remember he is the reason for the season!
Mr. B & Pop B digging out the cars on Christmas day! Look @ all that snow & it's still coming down!! BRR.
