Snow Day

I got wonderful news last night - today would be a snow day! No school, no kids, No WORK! wohoooo. It's sad to say that after being back for two days that I was in need of another break. It's so tough when it's cold, I don't want to get up and def. don't want to get out the door.

It's been a productive day so far.. hard to believe that it's already 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I've made two beds, done 4 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, put away the chrismas stuff, and sewed part of a place mat. I've got all these hexagons that I made a few months ago and then sat down. So I picked them back up and started working on my grandmothers garden quilt pattern and decided a place mat would be a lot more fun. :o)

It's my new year challenge to finish up at least one project per month & keep a running log of it. I have a ton of half completed projects {mostly because my sewing machine became ill and wouldn't hold a stitch} but I'm moving and a grooving now. Fingers crossed I'll have a ton of goodies by this time next year.

I love snow days {even though technically this is my first one} I've gotten so much done this  morning and the only thing that would make it better would be if my hubby had the day off as well. Sigh, the life of a b-ball coach. Oh & the fact that it's snowing continuously for like hours on end. good times good times.
