It's official, Ian Memphis has arrived and came in weighting 8 lbs 11 ozs and was 19 inchs long. Mom, Dad, and baby are all doing well and resting back in Texas. Isn't he a doll!! <3 I'm already smitten.
I'm so disappointed that I wasn't able to be there for this big moment, sometimes being a coaches wife and having to live so far from those you love the most is difficult. I would have loved to see my nephew greet the world today! Alas, I have to wait until school is finished on the 26th of May and then hopefully me and the Hubs will be headed home to Texas for a bit!! I can't wait.
Things around here have been changing a lot since I last posted {silly me forgetting my password} it seems there are never enough hours in the day. Well lets see where to begin....
- For those of you who remember me sitting for my BCBA back in November - I missed it by 3 questions or 10 points. I was really bummed and have been struggling with some confidence issues. I am trusting God has a plan - I've taken a prep course and am studying my patotie off and am going to re-sit for the exam on May 19th. Prayers are needed and greatly appreciated.
- 3 days before spring break KCK informed me that my position was being cut due to budget reasons. I was offered two other teaching positions at that time (which I later declined) and yet another one a few weeks later (which i also declined). My heart is not to be a classroom teacher, I much prefer the behavioral aspect of it all. With that news, I also learned that I would be relocated to one classroom for the remainder of the year to support a new teacher in a brand new classroom. So after May 26th I am no longer employed by KCK - which is really an answer to prayer and a blessing since I was really unhappy and have struggled throughout this whole year, I wanted a year in the schools and that is what I got. I'm done with it. lol. Not my area.
- Mr. B's job is going well, they are busy recruiting before the signing period ends. They did however take away the "company" car leaving us with only one car to share for the remainder of the summer. We sold my car in Texas since we would have a guarnteed one here... so much for that. We're saving up for another one.... It's been difficult considering we work 20 minutes from each other and from where we live. Fun times in the morning. lol. God is so good though and is in control.
- I'll soon be looking for other employment. I think I'll take advantage of the paycheck through August so that I can visit Texas for a couple of weeks in the summer and get some good family time in. I miss home terribly, familiar faces and familar places -- - plus there is this new little bundle of joy to love on..... we'll see what happens.
For now I suppose that's it, I promise to post more frequently. It's tough - this new position has me basically working in a different capacity then I'd really like and by the end of the day I'm exhausted. I'll do better I promise.
Have a blessed day.
