1. All natural ingredients - nothing icky in this lotion, made from the finest ingredients from God's green earth!
2. Hydrates well and doesn't leave skin greasy - I've used both the body stick and the lotion (citrus splash) and while the body stick is thicker and takes longer to soak in (I used mine at night) neither leave a greasy residue on your hands.
3. Does not contain alcohol - if you notice the labels of other lotions, all of them contain alcohol as one of their top ingredients. Sounds kinda counter productive to me right?! Doesn't alcohol dries out your skin - so you use lotion because your hands are dry, yet your lotion has alcohol that dries it out more?! hmm, no thanks.
4. Last's such a long time! I've had my latest bottles for at least 6 months now and I'm still not even close to the bottom of the bottle! Good bargain!
5. Saved the best reason for last - - - Basa believes in trade not aide. This company was established to help women living in Kenya support themselves and their families and rise out of poverty.
They also have yummy soaps and now offer face cleansers and lip balm. I can't wait to try out the face and lip stuff!!

Africa has a special place in my heart, though not many people know that. I'm often drawn to stories of charities and missions supporting African people.. In college I desperately wanted to travel to Africa on a sign language mission trip to serve two weeks in a deaf orphanage. Oh my heart was terrified - in such a good way though, I really wanted to go and see how God could use me. Unfortunately, the same time the trip was being finalized and payments were due - my brother & grandmother passed away unexpectedly and it would been difficult to take an over seas mission trip with all that was going on... So fast forward a couple years and I learn about this awesome company - being the lotion snob that I am - I am always searching out the best product for my money - - insert Basabody here!! :o)
