Hi blog readers!! All two of you!!! :o)
So glad you came back to check in on things! There have been so many changes here in the last few weeks! Let's recap!
After two months of struggling through with Summit I decided to give notice and look for employment elsewhere. I just couldn't justify (or make it through) another year of doing something I didn't enjoy. KCK was so hard for me to finish last year and I swore after finishing my contract I would not get into another situation like that! Needless to say Summit was not surprised that I was giving notice, they wished I would stay but understood why I was leaving...... after only 2 months it was time to say buh bye.
With that behind me - I have taken a position as the new associate director of in home programing with a local clinic here in KC! I officially started yesterday and it has been FANTASTIC!!! I love the kids, I love what we are doing with the kids, I adore the staff, I believe in our goals and what the future will bring. I'm going to get so many opportunities to expand my business skills, my networking skills, meet some of the biggest names in behavior analysis and get just all kinds of amazing experience.
Don't get me wrong - it's going to be such hard work - this job is going to push me out of all my comfort zones but it is going to be awesome.I have such a peace about it all and I love that I'm excited to go to work each day and be pushed. The past year - year and a half I feel like I've been idle, rusting, wishing someone would use me in some capacity! So there is a little stress due to having to shake off the rust but I'm confident I can do this - I can do this well and enjoy the process as I learn! I'm really excited about it and I am so thankful that the Lord has provided me this opportunity.
I came home yesterday and just talked and talked and talked - Mr. B said it was the first time since being in Kansas that I was this happy when we didn't have visitors. I'm that excited about it! :o) ha. Such a nerd.
Praise God. :o)
