bllllllllllllllluuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr! Did ya miss me, that was me - sprinting past you with no time for anything else! I feel so bad, I do so well for a few weeks of posting and updating and then life gets away from me and I am absent for months!
I'm excited to report that I have been at the new job as the associate director of in home services for almost 4 months now. It's been exciting, terrifying, and exhausting all at the same time. It's a much faster pace then the last two jobs have been, it's been a challenge to shake off the rust and get back into the swing of things but I'm confident that as time goes on I'll continue to get more proficient. The in home component of our center was slow to start but now I'm struggling to keep up! All of a sudden it's blown up and I'm having to train and get tutors out into the houses. It's fulfilling and so very exhausting. ha.
The thanksgiving holiday came and went, I missed being in Texas with all the family! Luckily my parents and my mamaw came up and stayed a few days. It was fun visiting and cooking together - everyone seemed to be tired and and worn out so we were pretty low key. It was way to cold for mamaw!
We got to break in the new couch though and it was lovely! What a difference it is to have a place for everyone to sit - who knew what we were missing. We are so blessed!!
It's looking like the in laws will be heading this way for Christmas. Sad we won't be in Texas but we'll make due. We had a fun time last year celebrating at the apartment. I won't get to go to Texas after the holiday due to job responsibilities (the one thing I HATE about working at the center - no two weeks off at Christmas) but hopefully I'll be there in a couple weeks for a few days.
I'm finally getting back to being crafty, the first couple weeks/months at the job, spending every night car shopping really didn't leave any time for crafting. I officially opened up an etsy store! I've even sold my first blanket on there! I am sooo excited. I'm hoping in the next few weeks to add more items and really expand.
Mr. B is having an awesome season so far - the Roo's are 3-1 to kick off the season! We're praying for a positive year!! He's busy with travel and game prep - I'm officially a basketball widow for the next few months. Luckily the days are moving fast and time is flying by, it'll be april before ya know it and we'll be headed to the Republic of Texas for the final four. :o)
Happy December thoughts to you and yours - I'll be better I promise to keep you updated on what's going on!
